Why am I so busy?

Not that I'm complaining as such but I'm booked nearly two weeks ahead at work. When I am going to get the Christmas Shopping done is anyone's guess. And I only have my good lady to buy for, she has done the rest of the family.

Cocoa Anybody?

Back from a few days away. What happens? Window at work broken(Probably not an attempt at a breakin, probably just some nutter leaning his/her foot against it from the internet cafe bext door). Then petrol cap cover broke off car and fan belt started to squeek. I called in to my local mechanic to order new part and for them to listen to fan belt and he stopped it squeeking with some silicone lubricant stiff and then it fell off!!

All normal now. I owe him a beer 'cos a two minute job ended up an hour.

So a cheap weekend away ends up costing a large piece of laminate glass and a bit for the car. I reckon £600

Oh well if we had to pay for a hotel also....

Canvas City

Bought a tent today 6 person, Well there are two sleeping areas so one for me and Marie, One for the kids. We are going camping in sept for two nights. But as we had no tent and could not hire a caravan on the site it was a forced issue. We got a good deal I think so even if its an utter disaster its not cost us a fortune. Still not sure Marie will enjoy it but who knows. Kids really looking forward to it.
Youngest got Chiken Pox. She is doing well. One of Maries friends got her to breath over her three year old in the hope he gets it before school term starts again. I'm not a believer in this sort of bug spreading and am happy to let kids have MMR. But as there is no vaccine for Chicken pox its probably better to get it and get it over with when small.

Collagen Cross Linking

I need to find a link but had a photo call for this. New treatment to STOP keratoconus getting worse. Not an NHS available treatment but the principle seems good. All I need to do now is persuade my early cone patients to have this done. If the claims are true and research suggest so (Again I need to post the references) this simple treatment will stop keratoconus progressing to corneal grafts. Problem though is giving false hope that the condition will get better. All it looks like it does is stabalise. So the poor folk who struggle with RGP CL's will still struggle. But hey! they won't get worse.

A big barrell of wine. Hic

As requested I've posted a picture of this rather large barrel.
215000 bottles. I loose count after a Methuzelar

Time in short supply

Life is far too hectic. But eventually posted up some holiday piccies

Had a play on the new cycle route near me today. Systrans organised. Will be great when its finished. Problems with landowners at the moment. So its a short path. Small one had a go on her bike and I walked next to/behind her.

So at the moment it sort of starts nowhere and ends nowhere. But for a relatively flat track for a child its great. That if forgetting about the half mile descent from where I parked to the start.
